Traffic noise

One of the worst disadvantages of living in the city and the countryside is not pollution. Pollution of all kinds, environmental, light, sound … The latter, which bothers you at nap times and will not let you enjoy your book in peace, you can not only cause discomfort, but also include physical problems.

Hypertension, for example, is a problem mostly caused by poor diet and excess fat in our food. However, as pointed Theo Bodin and his team of researchers in the journal Environmental Health, noise pollution also can cause blood pressure problems.

To conclude, Bodin and his colleagues worked with blood pressure levels of 24,000 people living in Sweden under the 60 decibel noise generated by traffic and other noises made by ‘civilization’. The conclusion was that traffic noise increased blood pressure, which can be decisive in the overall health of individuals.

This implies that the middle-aged people living in cities would be more free of cardiovascular risk if residential chose to build their houses. Living in downtown areas is a guarantee of noise nuisance, and if the heart is at stake, you better watch your preferences.
