Researchers from the Prevention and Research Center Yale-Griffin, Yale University (USA), ensure that a diet rich in walnuts helps improve endothelial function in patients with type 2 diabetes by encouraging, therefore, better cardiovascular health, according to results of a study published in the latest issue of the journal Diabetes Care.
Previous studies have shown the benefits of eating nuts for heart health but few studies had focused on patients with diabetes. On this occasion, these experts analyzed the evolution of 24 adults who consumed an average of 56 grams daily for eight weeks, then continue with their usual diet over eight weeks. (more…)
