The untreated dyslexia can cause a range of negative consequences added. The most important impact is a delay in school learning that builds up over the years if no rehabilitative treatment. This delay can result in accreditation not the end of compulsory education (diploma of Graduate in Compulsory Secondary Education) or in the early school dropout.

Furthermore, reading problems that these children can lead to delay or prevent this type of work, for this reason are often described as lazy. It is also common to develop impulsive behavior in their school life and disdain get a bit of quality in their work. The continuous sense of failure at school can trigger aversion to academic studies and tasks, and negativistic behavior to the instructions of teachers and professors.Is there a solution?

The intervention is required to establish measures that will require re-education work specific difficulties the child and in severe cases to restart the learning of reading and writing. In all cases of dyslexia intervention requires the use of specific techniques beyond conventional teaching of these skills.

* Improve motivation and self esteem.
* Promote appropriate behavior (staying in the chair, ending chores, think before responding).
* Reduce unsuitable behaviors (off-site reviews, constantly rising, not following instructions).
* Generalization of appropriate behavior at school and at home.
* Improving the habits of responsible autonomy and advance their learning child.

Tips

It is very important to help children with dyslexia to improve their relationship with reading. This activity should become something fun that makes you enjoy. In this sense, the child must have scope for choice in their reading and encourage them to find topics or formats that may please. To promote reading is valid any format: comics, books, magazines, newspapers, etc..

At school, children in school must have the necessary support and it is important that teachers know the nature of their problems. At a general level, it is recommended that teachers establish alternatives, without forgetting the necessary learning of reading and writing, help the child to grow and improve their self esteem. An example of these alternatives is sometimes used oral examinations to evaluate it.
