As there is no shortcut without work for the moment, there seems to be no anti-obesity drugs with no side effects nor the possibility of losing weight without diet or exercise. The recent withdrawal of pharmacies sibutramine or Reductil by the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS) joined the poor results obtained by the thinning orlistat, the only one left in Spain, a study published this week the journal Archives of Internal Medicine.
According to the authors of the research, the combination of this drug with a fat sparing regime worst effects achieved in hypertension associated with obesity that a diet low in carbohydrates, while weight reduction would be similar in both therapies.
Furthermore, if in the case of sibutramine, European Medicines Agency (EMEA) warned of that consumption could increase the incidence of heart attacks and strokes, experts warn of side effects of orlistat gastrointestinal in nature and therefore discourage consumption in patients with chronic diarrhea.
