Multiple sclerosis is an immune system disease whose causes and natural treatments are possible today in continuing study.

Definition of Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis is a disease of slow onset with a tendency to chronicity. Affected the immune system, renal system, nervous system, the joint system and the excretory system.

It is a disease of the restrictive nature which also has to take into account the negative thoughts and feelings generated by multiple sclerosis.

The most important factor in the emergence of multiple sclerosis is the loss of myelin is composed of protein and fat.

Myelin facilitates the conduction of nerve impulses produced in our brains. Damage to the myelin gives us multiple sclerosis. Everyone suffers from different symptoms and may suffer from mild to severe symptoms.

Causes and etiology of Multiple Sclerosis

The exact cause of the onset of multiple sclerosis is not known exactly, but it is believed that the destruction of myelin is due to the body’s own immune response that defends itself and does not recognize the tissue as its own, destroying this case the myelin sheath of the nervous system.

Recent studies indicate a higher manifestation of multiple sclerosis in some areas than in others, may be due to the high content of toxic substances like mercury, lead, aluminum as they are considered one of the causes of the emergence of multiple sclerosis.

The onset of MS is slow, mostly diagnosed in adulthood and presents with mild difficulty then disappear for a while.
We can find nutritional deficiencies such as decompensation of the fatty acids in our body.

There are more number of cases with multiple sclerosis in Western industrialized countries and the large amount of processed foods, red meats, low intake of vegetables, etc..

Clinical Manifestations of Multiple Sclerosis

A person with MS may have one or several symptoms at once. Successive crises may develop new symptoms appear.
We must also bear in mind that not everyone gets the same symptoms but vary from one person to another.
They tend to divide the symptoms of multiple sclerosis in three categories:

* Primary Symptoms
Are those that result due to demyelination:
Weakness, numbness, tremors, vision loss, pain, paralysis, bladder dysfunction, bowel dysfunction.
Some of these symptoms can be alleviated or solved with proper treatment.

* Secondary Symptoms
Derivatives are the complications of the primary symptoms, such as:
Bladder dysfunction, urinary weakness, decreased bone density.

* Tertiary symptoms
Complications are social, vocational and psychological symptoms resulting from primary and secondary.
The tension that causes multiple sclerosis affects social relations to suffer from a disease of limitations on short and long term.
Depression is common in these patients.

Our advice

Until recently it was thought that heart attacks were mostly a problem for men because estrogen, female hormones, an effect of reducing cholesterol. But after menopause and oral contraceptive use and estrogen reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease is much greater.

Researchers from the Prevention and Research Center Yale-Griffin, Yale University (USA), ensure that a diet rich in walnuts helps improve endothelial function in patients with type 2 diabetes by encouraging, therefore, better cardiovascular health, according to results of a study published in the latest issue of the journal Diabetes Care.

Previous studies have shown the benefits of eating nuts for heart health but few studies had focused on patients with diabetes. On this occasion, these experts analyzed the evolution of 24 adults who consumed an average of 56 grams daily for eight weeks, then continue with their usual diet over eight weeks.Thus, detected in the first part of the study produced “significant improvement” with continued use of nuts, compared to when they changed into their diet. According to the study authors, this is an important finding because the endothelium is the first point of reference when we talk about cardiovascular disease.

Its function is the first to be altered in response to risk factors and this encouraged the emergence of elements that lead to vascular damage and early lesions of atherosclerosis. In addition, endothelial function indicates the ability of blood vessels to dilate and increase blood flow.

Furthermore, participants in the study gained weight during the investigation – the 56 grams of nuts equals about 350 calories – which shows that nuts are appropriate to the daily diet with people prone to it.

“We all know how healthy is to eat an apple a day, but in fact there are other foods that we should consider including in our daily diet to achieve specific benefits to our health. The nuts are at the top of the list,” said David Katz, chief author of the research.

This expert also stressed that the only nut with a significant amount of Omega 3 essential acids, plus proteins, vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants.

The consumption of chocolate may reduce risk of stroke, according to a study from McMaster University in Hamilton (Canada) that was announced during the annual meeting of the American Academy of Neurology which was held in Toronto.

Another study found that eating chocolate may lower the risk of death after a stroke. The authors explain that chocolate is rich in antioxidants called flavonoids, which may have a protective effect against stroke but more research is needed. The analysis involved the review of three studies on chocolate and stroke. Sarah explains Sahib, responsible for the work, “more research is needed to determine whether chocolate actually lowers the risk of stroke, or if healthier people are simply more likely to eat chocolate than others.”

The first study found that 44,489 people who ate one serving of chocolate a week were 22 percent less likely to have a stroke than people who did not eat chocolate. The second 1169 study found that people who ate 50 grams of chocolate once a week were 46 percent less likely to die after a stroke than those who ate no chocolate.

The researchers found only one study more relevant to its investigation of all available scientific literature. The work showed no link between eating chocolate and the risk of stroke or death.

* Nutrients immunostimulants.

Unlike anti-inflammatory steroids used generally, nature provides us with anti-inflammatory substances that, conversely to those drugs, act as immunostimulants. It is known that the crisis of autoimmune diseases increase after infection and anti-inflammatory steroid-so used to combat inflammation-have the disadvantage of weakening the defenses predisposing patients to new infections also giving way to a grim cycle.

Among the natural immunostimulants that can be recommended to keep the patient away from any infection include Propolis, cats claw and Zinc.* Food antioxidants.

The antioxidant elements belong in the health strategy of any person wishing to maintain the vitality and, therefore, much less that of someone who suffers from a severe illness.

Among the conventional antioxidants are vitamins A, C and E, beta-carotene, provitamin A, and minerals zinc, selenium and copper as well as lesser known-but-the coenzyme Q10 and lipoic acid. As antioxidants the best herbs for these cases highlight the maritime pine bark and grape seed extract, both with additional anti-inflammatory power.

No more would get an irrigation. You can do it at home with a two-liter-irrigator sold in pharmacies or, better yet, consult a professional to undertake further work. A colon hydrotherapy is very healthy.

For maintenance each day would be good to take an infusion of two teaspoons of flaxseed fasting, not only maintain our regular bowel but we also provide other nutrients of interest. We can also populate our intestines with beneficial bacteria consuming sauerkraut juice or acidophilus supplements.

And because the liver plays an important supporting role in this work, stimulate with infusions of milk thistle, artichoke or bold, or by one or two ampoules daily horseradish juice.

It is important that those who suffer from this disease have a varied diet and integral containing plenty of fruits and vegetables, preferably raw, grains, legumes, nuts, seaweed, sea fish and quality virgin oils. As for the red and white-meat, milk and eggs should contain as little fat as possible and be consumed in moderation. The sausages, sweets, sweeteners, white sugar or sodas should be removed completely from the diet.

Another key is nutritional supplementation and use of medicinal herbs. And these are the most important elements that should contain a treatment to combat lupus:

Fish oil.

They all seem to stop their autoimmune disease process if you take a dose of 3 grams of fish oil for three weeks.There are clinical studies demonstrating the ability of these nutrients to achieve remission of the disease.The essential fatty acid deficiency is one of our shortcomings in the current diet, so it is ideal to promote the consumption of virgin oils, fish and oleaginous fruits to prevent autoimmune diseases and other epidemic character such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes or AIDS.

On the other hand, include the value of fish oils in many associated conditions such as lupus nephritis, mood disturbances or fatigue.

Shark cartilage.

Mucopolysaccharides present in shark cartilage have been shown to be important immunoregulatory agents. Hence, an appropriate therapy to match your intake with fish oil may even stop the degenerative process.

In addition, shark cartilage is useful for regenerating joints, usually affected by this disease.

* Other immunoregulatory substances of interest in the treatment of lupus include Primrose Oil, Morinda Citrifolia, Noni, the Cetilmiristoleato, Ginger and methylsulfonylmethane (MSM). An intelligent combination of all of them replaced with no side effects benefits and primitive approach to anti-inflammatory steroids.

Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) is considered an autoimmune disease, so far unknown causes, here are some ranges of natural medicine.

This rare disease causes skin lesions and is expressed in every tissue in the body (this is said to be systemic). Basically, then, an autoimmune inflammatory disease. This means that for some inexplicable reason the immune system is “wrong” and instead of fighting external stressors attacking your own tissue.It is, moreover, an ailment characterized as well-others-as having periods of activity-which is known outbreaks or crises, and periods of remission, ie where there is manifest.

The aim of medicine is to prolong the maximum possible periods of remission and can not do anything while not known what causes the disease. In the case of natural approaches, however, also attempts to regenerate damaged tissue and achieve a permanent remission.

With regard to outbreaks and crisis seems to have several triggers: exposure to sun and UV rays, stress, certain medications, infection with a virus … it was found that some people in the same household develop similar diseases also regarded as an autoimmune arthritis, multiple sclerosis or dermatitis. Suggesting that there may be indeed a genetic element that causes the imbalance of the body’s defense system.

However, there is also evidence that some people living with lupus patients have a certain variety of antibodies against lymphocytes and that this occurs even though no consanguinity. Hence it is understood that could also influence autoimmune diseases environmental factors.

The untreated dyslexia can cause a range of negative consequences added. The most important impact is a delay in school learning that builds up over the years if no rehabilitative treatment. This delay can result in accreditation not the end of compulsory education (diploma of Graduate in Compulsory Secondary Education) or in the early school dropout.

Furthermore, reading problems that these children can lead to delay or prevent this type of work, for this reason are often described as lazy. It is also common to develop impulsive behavior in their school life and disdain get a bit of quality in their work. The continuous sense of failure at school can trigger aversion to academic studies and tasks, and negativistic behavior to the instructions of teachers and professors.Is there a solution?

The intervention is required to establish measures that will require re-education work specific difficulties the child and in severe cases to restart the learning of reading and writing. In all cases of dyslexia intervention requires the use of specific techniques beyond conventional teaching of these skills.
Rehabilitative work goals for dyslexia is

* Recovery of learning reading and writing.
* Planning and organizing children’s activities (agenda, attendance time, materials).
* Teaching techniques and methods of study (underlined, outline, diagram).
* Preparation for exams and assignments.
* Improve motivation and self esteem.
* Promote appropriate behavior (staying in the chair, ending chores, think before responding).
* Reduce unsuitable behaviors (off-site reviews, constantly rising, not following instructions).
* Generalization of appropriate behavior at school and at home.
* Improving the habits of responsible autonomy and advance their learning child.

Tips

It is very important to help children with dyslexia to improve their relationship with reading. This activity should become something fun that makes you enjoy. In this sense, the child must have scope for choice in their reading and encourage them to find topics or formats that may please. To promote reading is valid any format: comics, books, magazines, newspapers, etc..

At school, children in school must have the necessary support and it is important that teachers know the nature of their problems. At a general level, it is recommended that teachers establish alternatives, without forgetting the necessary learning of reading and writing, help the child to grow and improve their self esteem. An example of these alternatives is sometimes used oral examinations to evaluate it.

Want to know what is dyslexia and what might be the most practical solutions?

What is dyslexia?

Dyslexia is a disorder that affects the acquisition of reading skills. The performance of these children in reading tests is substantially below what one would expect for their age. Reading problems cause deficits in accuracy, word recognition, speed and comprehension.

It is important to note that the origin of these problems is related to biological and neurological factors, therefore it is totally inappropriate to blame the child for their difficulties with reading.Errors most common in reading by dyslexia

* Substitution of one letter, one syllable or one word for another.
* Rotation letters (p-q, d-b, p-d).
* Investment of syllables (el-le,-out house, pal-pla).
* Omission of one letter, a syllable or a word.
* Addition of a letter, a syllable or a word.
* Correction: The child reads a word incorrectly, but then corrected.
* Syllabification: The child breaks down words into syllables.
* Syntax Errors: Changing gender (masculine / feminine) and number (singular-plural) and mismatch (verb-subject, article-noun).
* Reading Comprehension low difficulty extracting relevant information from a text and to respond to specific questions, often, these children respond based on their prior knowledge and not information from the text.

The problems of dyslexia are not overcome by conventional methods of teaching, for this reason require rehabilitative treatment tailored to their specific problems and mistakes.
Phonological dyslexia and surface dyslexia

It is important for the design of rehabilitation programs know the nature of reading difficulties. Although research and literature on dyslexia can find a large number of terms and classifications, the subtypes of phonological dyslexia and surface are very popular.

* The phonological dyslexia is characterized by a deficit in the decoding process (transformation of letters into sounds). Children who exhibit this problem are slow and inaccurate, showing difficulty reading pseudowords (words without meaning in words that make real use), make mistakes and understanding derivatives can be seriously affected.
* The surface dyslexia is characterized by specific deficits in word recognition, word recognition difficulties are more or less common using the mental lexicon which are stored. This store is mind necessary for the correct writing of the word, especially for those with some difficulty spelling. Although these children usually have no problems decoding, tend to be slow in reading and have repetitions, and syllabication corrections.
