Rheumatoid Arthritis Treatments are all over the Internet. Some work, some not and some are just silly. But the bottom line is “what price are willing to pay” to eliminate the pain for a day? a week? a month?

I am a firm believer in healing yourself from the inside out and if we take good care of our bodies as we do our children, then maybe, just maybe we can eliminate the pain of rheumatoid arthritis.

Any good treatments for rheumatoid arthritis have to focus on the “cause” and not the “symptoms”. Drugs in my humble opinion and nothing else, they are strictly to stop the pain for now. Do not treat the cause of arthritis.

There are some facts about Lyme disease that may alarm. For example, anyone can get the disease! No one is immune to the sometimes overwhelming, and often times difficult to diagnose the disease. So what exactly is and how it gets?

Lyme disease is a disease caused by bacteria Borrellia burgdorferi. If the name of the bacteria is not frightening enough, the means of contracting the disease sounds like a new science fiction movie plot. It is transmitted by an insect called Ixodes scapularis. The most common name? A small creature called a tick! More specifically, the deer tick. The first known cases of the disease were discovered near the town of Lyme, Connecticut. Morphine Could Spread Cancer

Morphine is a drug that is routinely provided to cancer patients to relieve pain. Recent studies conducted in the laboratory suggest that morphine may stimulate the spread of the disease. The researchers said this opioid promotes the growth of new blood vessels that carry oxygen and nutrients to tumors.

The scientists, who presented their findings during the joint conference of the American Association of Cancer Research and the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer, held in Boston, also reported the discovery of a new drug that could counteract this effect. Experts say, however, that more testing is needed before carrying out any change in treatment. (more…)

While we usually talk positive things in the exercise, it also be fair and emphasize the negative aspects of the practice over the year. Everything in excess is bad, and physical activity is also on the list, in fact, recent research has stressed about it.

From the University of California, San Francisco, Dr. Christoph Stehling has conducted an investigation which has been proposed to measure the effects of excessive exercise on the body, proving that this can cause arthritis.

She worked with people aged between 45 and 50 years who were followed for physical activity, and then underwent magnetic resonance to discern the health of your bones. Each has properties that distinguish them: almonds are rich in Vitamin E and Calcium, Zinc chestnuts, peanuts have protein and nuts possess antioxidant and alpha linolenic acid, a component of Omega-3 acid. But all provide benefits for heart care.

According to a study by Nurses’ Health, those who eat 140 grams of nuts a week are 35% less chance of heart problems than those who eat less than 30 grams per week. Similarly, another study found that people who eat these little fruit four times a week are half as likely to suffer a heart attack than those who eat once a week.

Nuts bear the bad reputation that easily because they have many fat calories (180 in 30 grams). Anyway, everything is relative in terms of food: eating nuts or peanuts alone is not fattening but must take into account your overall diet and, if complemented by physical activity.

The authors of this study randomly assigned 38 adolescent girls to attend sessions of psychotherapy or health education classes. During a period of one year, those who conducted psychotherapy were more likely to stabilize or reduce their body mass index, a key measure to assess obesity. Therefore, a correct program of psychotherapy may work better than traditional health classes.

This program used to control the feeding of girls is based on the assumption that the binge eating occurs in response to a low social relationships and a negative mood. Therefore the main objective is to improve interpersonal relationships.

If it is demonstrated that this program could be another effective way to prevent excessive weight gain. Furthermore, it could be an alternative when it comes to stopping the development of other health-related disorders to a group capable of youths.
